When Jesus was preparing to leave his disciples recorded in John 14, Peter asked Jesus this question: "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?" Jesus answered,
"I am the way, the truth, and the life..."

As we follow Jesus' way together as a community and as a staff, we've built our approach around the following principles:

"I am the way" - We believe Jesus is central to the Big Story of creation and our existence and purpose as humans.  We believe Jesus invites us all to follow Him on a journey, based on a relationship with Him. WYN programming is designed to introduce youth to Jesus through relationships, experience, and teaching.

"...The Truth," - We believe the Bible is the key resource in helping us learn about and grow in our understanding of the Big Story and the centrality of Jesus in that story.   We care about the "now" and the eternal. That is why Bible lessons and prayer are interwoven throughout various WYN programs.

"...and the Life," - We believe Jesus' teaching about and demonstration of the Kingdom is paramount to how we are to understand our mission as His children.  Jesus didn't just tell us how to live, He showed us. WYN programs are designed to care about the whole person, and build practical life skills throughout each child's experience.
